The Moment

I entered time today -
'twas pleasurable and exciting
but, I forgot the other part that comes...

With it, uninvited -
unexpected, reuniting
the familiar, that I thought
had been long gone.

Oh, tiny star unnoticed -
by all, but me, restore
what I was before, I entered in

Sad not, nor elated
where, no push or pull awaited -
return the smile I had
though slight, within.

Birds, tweet me back to heaven
and moon, your soothing stare
has always helped remind me
of our place

Where the sun's behind the clouds
rare, and slightly glowing
in my heart -
revealing it's softer face.

And as you all implore me
like a deep pull in the ocean
dark, but surely knowing what to do

I'll let go as expected -
protected, in the moment
careful, not to enter again -
the new.
