We'll Always

This is
but paper
that folds and throws away
delivering first, a special wish
come true

Although you would have doubted
two seconds right before
that I would ever meet someone
like you

We’d many conversations
that few would understand
like, what is really true
no matter what

While I shared all my writings
of things that I was seeing
as you, as usual, kept your mind
un-shut

Though I’ll be always with you
your eyes may say we’re not
telling your heart that all I’ve said
is gone

It’s then, you should decide to
deny or reinforce
the limits you’ll sometimes
depend upon

But, if all fails to conquer
as walls are closing in
remember that the smile
that I had

Was from the one you gave me
that made anew, each moment
in my life, though you were up
or sad

Remain with me in feelings
not separate, within the seen
but, considerate of the whole
and in return…

Things may look the same
but sure, become divine
in the now, as you more
dare to learn

For only in your giving
as if you had it made
will you ascend beyond, excite
or frown

Become through depth, a process
selfless, all your might
more than need to worry
what comes around

And that’s when you will know
no matter, time or distance
if all the thoughts we cared to share
back when…

Were worth their weight in stars
invisible friends, forever
or in the least, missing us—
times ten

So, don’t be fooled by cloudy
or sunny everywhere
but let your weather be from
deep inside

Where I had once, first met you
before I ever saw you
preparing me for a most
beautiful ride.
